Three originally written poems translated with moving imagery and music. (Sound on)
Poem 1: Artificial
The imagery in this poem was made with a microscopic telescope. Images of sunsets were printed on paper, and then manually scanned with a mircroscope that records digital video. Compositions and line language represent the bleeding sun on the horizon, a changing of the tides, and chasing the colors of the sun.
Poem 2: Red
The imagery in Poem 2 was made with videos of spilled ink, which were digitally inverted and manipulated. The ink blots resemble a pair of breathing lungs, butterfly wings, and spilled wine.
Poem 3: Footsteps
The imagery in Poem 3 was made with scanned images of charcoal powder footprints. The transparent imagery respresents the echo of footsteps above you, and the boundary between what you hear and what you know.
